I've been lurking on hearth for a year or so "picking your brains" and bought a 30-NC yesterday.
I will be going in my 13 X 35 living room (cathederal ceiling with fan), the house is about 2800 sq. ft. "earth berm". The 3 sides are basically basement with the south side dominated by a large sunporch. 4 bedrooms 1 & 3/4 bath.
The house had an older Englander when I bought it but it isn't hooked up. I figured I'd be better off getting an efficient stove and starting the install from scratch.
I have an 8" triple wall chimney that was left in the barn. Can I use that 8" with the 30-NC (6" flue) or would I be better off getting all new chimney?
Any ideas on how to move 450-500 lb stoves with just one or two people?
