I think it might dry a little faster than Oak, but I give any dense wood plenty of time in the stack. Never had any Honeylocust yet, only BL. But there's a dead Honeylocust at my buddy's house that I'll be getting soon. I'll heed heavy hammer's advice and cover it well...I've never burned this type of wood does it dry quicker than oak ?
I think it's thorn-less. Decent-sized, maybe 2/3 cord. Will get pics.Is it a good size tree? Regardless I'm jealous, just watch the thorns and get it all. Get some pics when you do it.
This is a honey locust trunk, a very clean one with almost no thorns.
