I have a brand new BIG E SP1000.. It was fired up once and it workd GREAT. I left it on for about 4 hrs.. Two days later, I went to start it up, and it worked for about a minute, then nothing. I checked the board and the fuse was blown. I bought a new fuse installed it. Same thing works for about 30 seconds and it blows. I noticed it blows when the auger heat level comes on. I have it on level 5..Do I return the stove and buy another brand??? It is BRAND NEW. I bought it at Riches in Lynnwood, WA.. Do I return the stove????
I hope u did not leave it on for 4 hours on 5. If you read the manual it states only use 4/5 for about 20 min. I have never had the need to run mine higher than 3 and it will cook me out of the house

Not many stoves are ment to run at their highest setting for very long. I would check wires and connectors and make sure they are insulated or good connections, empty the hopper and check for auger jams. Sounds like it’s binding enough to keep motor from turning. It is imperative you find the short or fix the bind. Brickwell’s don’t like blown fuses they tend to not blow fast enough and take out triacs.
