I have a Brunco Hearthglow stove dated with Nov. 81 on the back. I can't get a long burn with wood out of it even with new gaskets. I've replaced the bimetal spring and that didn't help. I have a Buck 81 downstairs and that will last 3 times as long on half the amount of wood. I was going to replace it with a new stove until I checked new stove prices. I came across a Hearthstone Phoenix 8610 soapstone stove for sale, it's 12-15 years newer than the Brunco, just wondering if it might be better than the Brunco? I came across a used Buck 81, but I need the flue to come out of the back, the Buck doesn't.
