Since I'm starting fresh in this new house, I think I can realistically cut, split and stack 2 season's worth of firewood per year. This is about how long it'll take to get to the holy grail of burning 3-yr seasoned wood in my situation:

I'll bet you can do it faster than that. I did it in year 1, just had to wait 2 years for it to be year 3. It's very easy to be ahead now. I am currently 6 years ahead.

I hope so. But I've been working on it pretty hard over the summer and right now it's hard to imagine getting more in than 2 per year.

I'm on my third winter burning. I'm just splitting for 17-18. the famous 'third year' ahead. Not counting a cord of red oak that I split small and stacked separate. Logger is coming this winter to cut my lot. Getting 50 cord of 16' that will be the next 5 years.
