If there is one thing that we are learning with energy is diversification, the one stop shop fits all approach is archaic, its nice to see newer tech come out and keep things clean, we can only get better from here.

As a techno-optimist, I would have to agree. New tech creates both new solutions and new problems, and I think the solutions are usually more transformative than the problems created. But we forget the problems at our peril.
