Can Someone Tell me where I can get Blaze King Princess the Cheapest I also need a 35 foot chimney liner kit. I'm in New Jersey.
That tall flue warns of too strong draft. This system needs to be tested with the stove cold and fully warmed up at operating temps. At 35’ you need to have someone with experience with a BK on that length help set it up for good results. If you can find one.
No, any insert on that tall of a chimney may have issues with overfiring due to strong draft. If this is a basement install, then there can be another issue, backdrafting. That is, when the chimney is cold, draft reverses. Not all basement chimneys do this, but it is something that needs to be considered, especially if there is evidence of the fireplace doing this without an insert installed. Thanks do you think drolet 1800 I would be better for my chimney? If the Chimney was 30 ft would that be better. I have not measured but put a 33foot pole up it to get it to stick out a foot
Absolutely correctI believe the deal with the dampers is that the EPA doesn't test with dampers and so they don't recommend using them. It's a case by case basis IMHO. A tall chimney like that? I'd put into two dampers. My $.02 and I have always used a damper.
I have one on 23’ with a damper in the appliance adapter. It’s just barely enough restriction. Thanks do you think drolet 1800 I would be better for my chimney? If the Chimney was 30 ft would that be better. I have not measured but put a 33foot pole up it to get it to stick out a foot
The setup - this would require something that has a flue outlet top lower than 25".If it was me, I would install a freestanding rear vent stove in the fireplace hooked up to a TEE then up an insulated 6" liner. That should help reduce some of the draft.
Geesh, gotta love the start 10 threads on the same subject people....
