Can you name this wood?

I'm not exactly sure what it is, but the lady seems to think it was a mix of two different kinds. Unfortunately, it's pretty wet, and has only been cut for about 4 months, but some of it was dead. I think I need to air up my tires a little, lol. Had to take the back roads home. I'll let someone else unload it, it's football time.

The lady seems to think it's mostly maple with some sycamore. Weird, I took the pics with my laptop since my phones gettin fixed, and everything is backwards, like looking in a mirror. Notice my license plate number? lol.

Hard to tell, soft maple ?
But it's BTUs, that's what counts.
Being on the "dry side" of the cascades, get it off the ground split & stacked, should be good wood for next year

Looks a lot like the Silver Maple that grows around here, but it all burns right?

I see what looks like Silver Maple. I don't see any Sycamore but that should be easy to ID - the bark looks like winter camo. Sycamore growing near Silver Maple is common because both grow along streams and rivers.

It was raining a few hours ago when I loaded it up, so it was kind of hard to tell how green it was. I'm new to it all. I did notice that the large pieces weren't too heavy though, like others I've lifted years ago. Around here we usually get apple, cherry, etc since the housing boom taking out all the orchards. Starting to slow down a bit now, so may have to head back to the blue mountains soon.

Some guys want over 300 for a chord for tamarack. Seems a bit pricey. Wondering what good seasoned wood goes for on the east. Thinking at that price it would be cheaper to just turn up the electric furnace. I do know it's much easier, lol.

Absolutely a lot of Silver Maple in there.........we have tons of that around here as well. Get is split and stacked and it will season really quickly.
