I'm reading a book about passive heating and it touches on wood stoves and masonry heaters a few times. I thought the below link about smart burning practices was an easy read and useful for beginners and pro pyros alike. I had a couple takeaways ..such as what not to use in my insert ...maintaining the fire...and set up for overnight burn.

Canada is probable ahead of the U.S. in environmental considerations when it comes to wood stoves...don't think this is an outlandish assumption
