Got a CSA approved boiler thats about 5 years old so have not been looking !
Froling as its stands now , is the only one I would buy at this time!
Froling's king of the batch burners. Although @cumminstinkerer made a batch burner out of a G2 plus.
Speaking of which, Polar is listed as an indoor/outdoor. Pleasing to the eye. Heatmaster may be listed the same. Really not sure why they wouldn't be and Polar is. These are both Canadian manufactured.

My Blaze King wood stove is approved for use in Canada yet it doesn’t have a CSA sticker on it. In the case of a boiler I would ASSUME that it would be the same as my wood stove, as long as it was tested and met or exceeded Canadian standards then you should be good. Somewhere on the owners manual and possibly on the boiler one should find a placard stating the testing organization and to what standard it was tested to.

CSA is a safety standard. EPA is an emissions standard. U.L. safety listings are comparable to CSA as they both test for clearances and other none emissions related specifications.

Come on @Tron, my German speaking friend! You can translate the video....

I would guess the certification has to do with cost. I love my G2 + doing a modified batch burn, it still idles like a polar does in normal operation but when its go time it goes for a long duration. Last night and the next couple days will be a good test, we hit -14F last night with 30MPH winds, high today is -1F and wind all day, we aren't set to go above zero until late tomorrow and will have pretty good wind the entire time. I'll report back monday but through the night it did really well, burned about half of what I expected from 8:30 PM to 6:30 AM I only used about 4 splits! now I bet when she fires later today it will really run, I want to get a monitor of some sort on it so I can log the burn time, from fan on to fan off and number of times, but I havent done it yet

I really love this ^^^!!!
Over the summer there was a G2 plus for sale. Price was $5500 and looked like it was in good shape. Probably plugged up with creo as not many understand what less than 20% MC is.

There's a regular G2 now at $5000. Not like I have the coin to burn. I think the G2 a bit small for me anyway.

Woodgun E110 and E210 are EPA, UL certified.
ASME certification optional
Indoors or outdoors.
Can be installed without thermal storage
Direct vent, no chimney required.

Note: I'm not affiliated with Woodgun

I tried to buy an Ecoburn but its not allowed into Canada as it failed emissions standards for residential use. My Autonom boiler works with the only issue basically is refractory lifespan is not as long as expected and its CSA and meets 2025 Emission standards for Canada.

I said I'd report back, I'm a day late but hey, we survived the really cold, the boiler worked well except for thursday night into friday, I apparently had my differential set to high between the boiler and the storage tank and the lines are above ground in an insulated tube, long story short it didn't cycle the circulator between boiler and storage soon enough and froze those lines, I managed to get them thawed out friday night after work, the house was still 70 but the storage was down to 130 on the top, boiler was at 180, I was up every 2-4 hours the rest of the night adding wood and checking things out, by 8 am I had storage back to 180 and all was good! made a mental note and adjusted the differential for that circulator down to 1 degree which means it has to drop 2 to actually run, all is good! I plan to move the boiler next spring/summer and have it in an enclosure plus I will insulate those lines better. I am going to take the boiler to the other of the garage you can see in my avatar and build a tin shed around it, that will help with the wind issues. At -14F and 30+ mph winds its not pleasant, my well pit was also frozen up, and the wifes truck gelled, made for a great night.

One thing about cold weather it will point out any weaknesses in your equipment. This past cold snap all that failed my was my truck battery. I consider myself lucky this time around…next time around who knows?

I had not run the differential that high during cold weather, it works great when its not cold enough to freeze a polar bear but it was just to long with no circulation, live and learn, nothing damaged just took some time to thaw and a bit of propane torch fuel! the well is a no win, either have to keep a heat lamp in there or deal with it, the gelled truck was realistically my fault too I'm pretty sure i didn't put enough treatment in the last time I put fuel in it because it was nice out and i didn't have any more. I will say FPPE Meltdown is some good stuff, it will ungell even the filter with a bit of time!

My Autonom boiler has built in frost protection and you can set the temperature and differential for the pump to come on. Nothing frozen here so far.

Yes, HeatMaster can be installed indoors too.
Curious as to what would require a gasser to be outdoor only?
There's Cleanfire by wood master, CB's version, .....
What's the determining factor?

I dunno...maybe it's just matter of going through the certification process?

I have controllers to do that just have to set down and do the wiring/planing, I have had to much other stuff going to try and figure that out lately, broken vehicles just sucks!
