sheesh. not even a spark bucket.
Yes I cleaned the stove and then failed it on the sheet for many obvious reasons. I raked up the leaves and such in the event that they don't take my advice and continue to use the thing as is.That stove has a 4" flue vent flange on the back of the stove. How was it connected to the 3" pellet vent?
Did you just clean the stove?
See pic of back of stove below. Click to enlarge.
Redirect the vent vertical up at least 3 feet above the groundOkay, mine looks similar, and I have trees everywhere around my place. What does one do? I try to keep the leaves away and there is shale under it.
Vertical rise...Okay, mine looks similar, and I have trees everywhere around my place. What does one do? I try to keep the leaves away and there is shale under it.
FYI, this is exactly the same installer as this...

Leaves catching fire are what burned the paint off of this house.
HEADS UP PEOPLE WE ARE HEADING IN TO LEAF SEASON
the manual does call for a 4" vent, so there is that, and the manual also calls for a 2' clearance to grass and whatnot...without a measurement, it's a tough call looking at the pic. I'm not sure I'd blame an installer for the leaves in someones yard though...unless he has a bag of leaves with him and spreads them about after the install...then, clearly "his bad"...and there ARE some wacky peepes out there, so I would not be surprised.Something wrong there?
You can't fix stupid
