Would castable refractory such as Imperial dry mix good up to 2100F be suitable for door lining of my woodgun. The material there now is a very low density material they call ceramic door board.

Imperial castable refractory cement is a good product but it would be working right at its maximum rated temperature , Dukast 3000 would be a better product but it only comes in 55lb bags and north of the border is around$100 a bag . I would suggest that you try the manufacturer of your boiler for the piece you need it may turn out to be cheaper and more satisfactory .

If your talking about the upper door the Imperial should work fine , but not so good on the lower door!
