Hi All,
This is my first cat : a Lopi Liberty Net Gen wood stove, so I'm not that familiar with cats.
I clean it every other day with the heavy brush Travis Industries supplied, and have noticed lately that it's not ash that I'm brushing off, more like small hard crystals, resembling grains of sea salt. Is this normal? Thanks everyone, and stay warm!
 
What color?
Is it possible to take a pic of the stuff?
 
Hi Stoveliker, They're the same gray color as ash, only hard, and the size of large sea salt. Don't have a clue if this is good or bad
 
I think that's fine.
If it's not dark, it means the cat is hot enough.
Maybe it's some ashes fusing together (like clinkers).
If it doesn't clog the cat and it's light colored, don't worry about it.
