CB1200i - convection blower slow

So just had my first burn of the season (4 days earlier than last year - Im getting weak) on my 6 year old Classic Bay 1200 insert.
Everything seems fine, except the convection (room air) blower goes on, but never kicks in strong. It should let the system hit up with a low fan (even at the high auger setting) and then the fan kicks it up to full blast and delivers the heat to really warm us up. But it stays at the low fan (and I ran it for 2 hours).
Whats going on?
Bad pellets that arent getting hot enough?
Issue w/ convection blower?
some sensor?
I cleaned it out well, but could this be an issue?

Not sure how to troubleshoot this but it could be the 3 speed blower control ... they are pricey. Lowest cost I found was $233... part #SRV7000-704

The fan speed is controlled by what setting you have set( low/ medium/ high) and the snap switch. There is nothing else to "kick it up".

Thanks everybody for help; Ive been waiting to see how things change. But the stove is working fine I guess, spitting out heat decently. I cant tell if blower has slowed down or my memory has changed from last year (everything seems more powerful in retrospect).

Hey JB,

You're sure your convection blower impeller fans, protective shrouding, and the back side of the heat exchanger area above the fans aren't obstructed from dirt, dust bunnies, pet hair, etc? Crud can collect on those over the summer, which is a common cause of reduced airflow through the heat exchanger tubes, and dirt that builds up around the convection motor makes it run hotter, reducing the bearing life span over the long haul. Convection fan crud build-up is also a common source of stove vibration as well.

To clean the in-board "squirrel cage" impeller fans, as well as the housing they live in and the motor area, you really need to pull the whole convection assembly out and carefully remove the small c-clamps that hold the impeller fans onto the motor shaft, so you can remove the fans. Here's a You tube video on how to do this on a free-standing CB, but I'm guessing it's similar for your insert.

I just blow my convection fan out with compressed air when I do my end of season cleaning. Looks like new in its 5th year.
