All,

I will be remodeling a bath/shower using a set of glue on panels. I will be using cement backerboard and the manufacturer of the backeboard states that the joints should be filled and then taped before applying a waterproof coating to prep for the panels to then be glued. Is an all=purpose joint compound appropriate for threse joints?

Many thanks

No. You need use 2-inch alkali-resistant mesh tape & the use a floor & tile mortar, not regular drywall joint compound.
Many thanks. I do have the alkali-resistant tape they directed but was unsure on what to fill the joint with. I appreciate the help.
