Cement Sealer for Walkways - Any Experience? - Is it worth doing?

Hello

After spending some money for a little concrete walkway, is it a good idea to help preserve it with a sealer?

I put down this cure and seal WB called MasterKure CC 180WB recommended by my concrete man.
Waterborne Acrylic Curing, Sealing and Dustproofing Compound

Did anyone have any luck with this type of coating? Does it help?

I'll jump in to get things going.
One of the best things you can do for new concrete is to keep it wet so that it can cure fully. I believe that some coatings put on new concrete are designed to prevent water evaporation to do this. Of course, putting down plastic or wet burlap can do the same thing. I've seen some basically flood the concrete surface with water for about a week with great results. Looks like the stuff you've put down is intended to help with curing.
I have no related experience but I believe other coatings are meant to seal the concrete and prevent staining. I have seen surface coatings later peel, looking terrible.

I just wet it again today. My friends Minnisota Marty and Scotty Used the sealer and it worked super. Marty is a bridge builder and said by controlling the curing process you can obtain a stronger pour. My sub said I could put the sealer down the day after the pour. So I put it on yesterday. It was the good stuff from the concrete supply house not Home Depot. Hopefully it will slow the curing process too. I put 7 tons of 3/4" stone over the compacted sandy soil and we used the 4,000 lb stone mix with the synthetic fibers to prevent micro cracking during the curing process. Also for primary tensile strength we put in steel mesh and tied it to the foundation with rebar.

We had 9 yards of crete Friday and then ran out to finish this small pad. So unfortunately the rest of the pad was done today Monday. It will be under the front steps with no traffic on it.
