Some Cherry from April by the swamp.

I like cherry. It seasons fast and burns good.
 
Very nice! Are you sure that's cherry? It looks pretty light and I can't see the bark detail on my monitor...
 
Yes it's cherry, I had a couple of spots that cherry came down. This spot by the swamp had 6 cherry trees that had been down. I was lucky the bugs didn't get that bad. I think there was 2.5 face cord.

I like the cherry, too. It's a decent hardwood. Our problem with it is that it always starts a black fungus on its branches.
We cut it as soon as we see it. I just cut some up last night - about 6" at the butt. Only split the biggest pieces - they dry fast.
