Did the usual light fire, shut door, walked away. Came back to my pipe probe therm around a touch over 1000 f
Stove top was nothing special. I shut the air and in 10 minutes temps were back in normal range
edit smoke detectors went off.
There was alot of white smoke coming our the chimney, kinda like you'd get when in startup and continued after the fire was settled.. All gone now, and I've called a sweep to come look.once the fire burns out.
its -12 c here today. what do you guys n gals think? steam or something in the pipe?
No rumbling sound, no flames out the stack, no tink noises. Wood is 3+ years old EPA stove non cat.
