Hi this is my first post here and i wanted to say what a great resource this place has been on our woodstove selection.
We decided on the Pacific Energy Alderlea T6. We received an estimate for our chimney install and i'm wondering if it sounds about right or not.
We have an open room with a vaulted ceiling with no attic, just the roof. Not counting any hearth work and not counting the stove we were given a cost of 6500 to install the chimney and hook up our stove. 6" superpro with doublewall. Total is around 20 feet. Freestanding stove straight up through the roof..

Sounds a bit high but they may need to bring in scaffolding protect everything etc because of the high ceiling

$6500 for 20 ft of 6" double wall (SuperPro chimney systems) straight through a vaulted ceiling isn’t out of line parts, roof work, and labor add up quick. Always worth getting 1–2 more quotes to compare.
