Hi folks, new to this forum, and glad to have found it. We've had a small Century wood stove for 7 years now, and we love it. We recently remodeled our home, and that included moving the stove to a new location. Our contractor installed the exterior chimney. We bought a new double wall 6" telescoping black pipe for the interior. However, when I tried to install it, it seems that the connection doesn't work...same diameter, so the male piece won't go in the female piece that the contractor installed. Not sure if it takes additional crimping, or if there's supposed to be an adapter of some sorts?

Looks like a mismatch in brand of chimney and stove pipe. The stove pipe looks like Selkirk DSP. Do you know what brand chimney this is?

Yes, DSP stove pipe has a crimp on the top outer edge and also on the bottom inner liner edge.

Ditto to what be green posted. If the upper crimped end won't slide up and over like shown you may have to match the chimney pipe brand and stove pipe. My guess .

The stove pipe manufacturer probably makes a universal adapter
