Chimney issues hi300 install

I purchased a hampton hi300 insert last weekend (thanks be green for you help). It came with about 13 ft of uninsulated flex liner 6 inch.

Initially I was confused about my chimney because when I shined a light up the flu I have a 6 x 24 inch damper approximately, seems to be metal housing but tge damper flap itself has been taken out. A few feet above the damper the chimney goes round which I thought maybe meant I have a zero clearance fireplace, but then the furnace side if the chimney has clay liner... Anyway I think I've figured it out I have a masonry chimney that the previous owners had relied with a SS uninsulated 10 inch liner and put a chimney cap/ damper on a cable(not really a damper but just a way to seal top of flu when not in use) at the top.

Can I run rigid double wall 6 in pipe down the 10 in SS liner to just above the flu then connect to the flex for the last 3-4 feet ? Is the double wall pipe necessary given that there is already a 10 inch liner in there?

I am planning on a block off plate and some roxul as well. The chimney is approximately 22 feet from top of insert. The prev owner of the insert advised to either replace the blower or at least get one to have handy said he replaced every 2 seasons or so? The one in the stove is working now... any one have experience with this?

And finally I would like to run the power cord thru the floor of the fireplace and wire it up in the basement now the manufacturer states in the manual to not run the cord under the stove. I know stupid question. But if anyone knows how to properly shield the wire...? The thing is I have an outlet but it's on the wrong side of tge stove. On some blowers you can switch the power cord from one side to the other. Does yours have a hole on the other side of the frame with a plug in it (not an electrical plug, just a rubber or plastic plug)?

I have this insert, you can swap the power cord to the other side. If you have the manual it shows you how to.

Thanks for the replys as it turns out there is an outlet on both sides of the fireplace I'm a dork! New house still findin things out even when glaringly apparent.

Any thoughts on the chimney?

To do this right, first have the chimney thoroughly cleaned including the smokeshelf area. That's a must do. The old liner's history and age are unknown so it's hard to say whether it will last years or not. Personally, I would install a new, insulated 6" liner to take the guesswork out of the process and so that you have a reliable system for years to come.
