What should I use to fix this area ? Its inside, and the grey area is some furnace cement I used a year ago but of course it cracks, when you move the pipe for cleaning etc.
Just use regular mortar? or quickcrete?
EDIT! sorry Iphone. adjusted PIC
UPDATE; so I went looking for some black paint and a trim ring; but realized it wasn't going to beas "pretty" as I wanted PIC 0 shows why. the ring won't cover up the couple inches of snout that need to be; plus its a 6"d/w pipe to a 5.5 adapter.so the trim ring would not hang properly.
Probably not the nicest install ever done; but thats another dicussion.
Found a plug to fit in the trim ring, and cut the center out. Covers up 90% of all the mess.
I'll post a pic of the finished product once the paint dries and its in place!
