The main air injection point for a Hearthstone Mansfield is in a bump in the middle front of the stove. I believe that I have quite a bit of ash in that airway, and want to know the best procedure for ensuring that it is properly cleaned. The Hearthstone manual is silent about this. Anyone ever cleaned out this air channel?

Typically it’s not an issue, since air is forced through it and into the stove. Take a shop vac and suck it out.

That should be the boost air and as webby indicated, under positive pressure. The main source of primary air is usually the airwash.
