newb here, was given a profile 20 from inlaws. when we first got it was burning great. but every year seems to get worse and worse efficiency wise. now even with the damper all the way open, were not getting a clean burn and will go out every 16 hours or so. I asked the prev owner and he didn't even know it had to be cleaned. "just dumped the ashes every week" with no annual cleaning. I follow the owners manuals instructions, but it seems to me there is a large section of stove that is uncleanable. I have a Harman insert in another part of the house that cleans out 100%. (no areas I cant get to). I have removed the combustion blowers and cleaned from the damper to where the flu connects and inside the firebox. but there is a middle section that I cant get to. im hoping that my burn problem is a cleaning issue and not a motor issue. I was wondering if anyone else has a similar problem or a solution. it works fine in every other way, except the quality of the burn. any help would be greatly appreciated.
