Clearance to combustible above stove?

Hey all,

If I am put a mantle on the wall above the stove, sticking over the stove some, where would I look to find the clearances needed for this. Stove manual states clearances to ceilings but that is about it for above stove specs.

Depends on the stove. Many are not tested in fireplaces so no mantel clearance spec. This is particularly true of top vented stoves. Rear-vented stoves are more commonly used in fireplaces.
