I have burned both Hamer and Stove Chow pellets on every fuel setting, high and low elevation etc. and am still getting clinkers forming and sticking to the pot sides and growing to the point that it actually won't relight. I have replaced the burn pot,and the floor springs, did not help. I just can't seem to figure this out this year Any suggestions?
The ash pan had nothing BUT clinkers! HUGE ones! I even had one jam the autoclean door. Went back to my VT Wood Pellets (softwood), no more clinkers. Can't understand why the PA Pellets did that (my buddy with a Harmon loves them and has no problems with them). Bottom line - keep trying brands 'til you find what works for your stove.
