The Condar looks like a nice unit, I like that it has 3 alarm points, engage cat, over heat cat, and cat melt down.
I don't like the the alarm set points are not user adjustable.
Here is a pic of the monitor/controller I made, it reads flue temp, cat temp and stove top temp. Each controller has it's own
separate alarm. The stove top controller also will turn the blower fan above 675
, and alarm at 800
.
The flue temp controller is set to alarm at 875
, and the cat controller is set to alarm at 360
, that's when I close the bypass and engage the
cat. I really like how I can easily see just how the stove is preforming at any given time. The cat is much faster than the supplied probe, you can see
the cat take off almost immediately after you close the bypass.
That 4 channel gauge looks nice, but it is a bit on the spendy side, you can buy individual controllers for around 20$-30$ each,
plus a few dollars for the alarms.
