I've been in Connecticut the last couple weeks for work, they're cutting trees down all over the place and leaving it. If I had a truck I'd have two years worth, alas but I dont have access to one. Hot spots are woostock and ashford route 144 and 198.

I am not in that area but always see town and state worker cut down and cut up trees and leave them there. Eventually they disappear. I always wondered if they were free for the taking. In Monroe there was a bunch that I wanted. I tried contacting Monroe town hall to ask but didn't get a response.

Happens where I am at too. Public Utlities cut them down and bring up the branches and leave the trunks. Most just rot. Always wanted them when I burned Wood. I figured free wood. But no one to ask most of the time. Pellets are easier for me now.
