I just got a new Drolet insert and my wife decided she likes the look without the faceplate and I wanted to run it without the faceplate anyway but she does have an issue with the appearance of the flex liner and adapter. I'm wondering if it would be possible to connect a piece of standard stove pipe to the stove and then some kind of adapter to the liner above the block off plate where it won't be visible. If all else fails maybe some black paint on the flex liner will be sufficient but I'm open to any ideas, thanks!

The easiest, most cost efficient way is to spray paint it with stove pipe paint. Painted black it will disappear.
