So I have some easy access to willow in my town--it's partially cut up. I burned some about a decade ago and remember that it smelled a bit like taking a leak on a campfire (yes, I've done this). Since we use the oven in our masonry heater and the smoke travels through the heater, I am a little reluctant to use willow, but I saw some info on the net that people smoke meat with it. Anyone have any experience with cooking/smoking with the stuff?
