I have two possible situations I would like feedback on.
We are thinking about remodeling our kitchen. There is a fireplace on the other side of the kitchen wall that I am thinking about reworking into an alcove to put a wood burning cookstove in. If we did this I would want a cooking only type of woodstove. Something insulated to not put out a lot of heat. I would want to be able to use it for as much of the year as possible. Like the esse 990 perhaps?
The other option is in a back room that I have currently an old Home comfort cookstove on a 6” chimney. I can close off the room from the house and open two sliding glass doors to vent heat outside, so being insulated isn’t as important. But I don’t think I need something that would heat 3000’ either. The Waterford might be a option.
Performance wise I would like a stove that can hold enough wood to cook a large meal without refilling. Has controllable heat to oven and will last.
If anyone has thoughts or opinions on those two stoves or any other that would work, I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks
