Copper or nylon olives?

Hey guys.

Not sure if here's the best place to ask, but a mate told me that nylon olives are not as heat resistant as copper olives.

I'm eyeing the elbows specifically:

You must be referring what we call ferrules.

Yeah, I'd agree with that statement.
 
I worked with a couple of technicians who had been installing instrumentation tubing for 40 years on high pressure equipment. If they had a choice they did flare fittings, car companies do the same as well as HVAC equipment. Ferrules are faster with less prep but they can be made up improperly.
