Hi First post.

I have a Harmon Pellet stove (P61A) in our living room.
I was getting it cleaned up for this years burning season and found a our 7"thimble has a crack all the way around it.
The crack is closer to the flue liner then the room.
I was thinking of cleaning the crack well and using chimney/furnace cement to fill the crack.
Then install a 6" stove pipe then cementing that into the thimble.
Then adding a reducer so the 3" stove pipe will connect to the stove.
Is this feasible?

you may fill the crack with refactory cement. scrap the idea of using common black stove pipe instead use stainless steel or you can cement in a galvanizes thimble but the material has to be corrosian resistant and ss is better than galvanized stove pipe offers no corrosian resistance
