Basically he was talking about the Gulf Stream/ AMOC collapse issue, and got misquoted.
AMOC collapse is something that some scientists are worried about (esp those in Europe). The science I have seen is all over the place in terms of likelihood and timing.

AMOC collapse would change the current Western Europe climate such that their winters would be similar to the Canadian Rockies (e.g. Alberta) while their summers would actually get hotter.
But is just a hypothesis!
