What’s the difference between an EPA certified outdoor wood boiler and one that’s eligible for a 26% US tax credit? And are all the EPA certified ones eligible for that tax credit?

Must be epa certified and have a thermal efficiency of 75% or greater per the higher heating value of the fuel.

list available here: https://cfpub.epa.gov/oarweb/woodstove/index.cfm?fuseaction=app.searchwh
just make sure the HHV efficiency is 75% or better.

Keep in mind the EPA is often months or more behind on updating their list. Either way the manufacturer should have a certificate stating the efficiency of it's eligible for the tax credit.
