My brother in law gave me a VC resolute III It’s in need of a rebuild and I thought it would be a good winter project. As I was taking it apart I noticed that the back panel said Vermont Castings 1979. Ok cool. However the door and some of the other parts were dated ( or what looks like a date) 9/11/82. When replacing parts do I look for 79 or 82?
I also noticed that the glass holder frame was not in correctly. It looks as though the holes on the fame that holds the glass in place does not line up with the receiver holes on the door. This part had a three stamped on it. Could it have been the wrong part for this particular door and model?

One last question. Where does one look for detailed information on assembly and disassembly of this ole girl?

All in all the stove looks to be in pretty good shape. Elbow grease and a few new parts and she should be ok. Hopefully lol.

Thanks y’all
