I used to really dig the Eagles..until I found out they stole the whole guitar progression for Hotel California from a Jethro Tull song, "We Used to Know" on the album Stand Up. The Eagles were the opening band for Tull during the tour to promote the album 1970...Hotle California was released a full year later...same exact progression. Shoulda know it...its the only ealges song that has more the 6 chords in it...and isn't a straight up blues song with country flare. I still give them props for the singing drummer bit.
