Do I need to get glass doors (or any other type) if I am just burning fire glass now?

Just completed cosmetic remodel of (vented) gas fireplace. (Majestic L42 BR)
Was wondering if I need to order doors for it if I am only burning fire glass?
I know some people just leave them open and it doesn’t see to be a problem.
Are fireplace doors necessary for a fireglass scenario indoors?

thanks!

Not sure about your local code adoptions, but we require vented gas appliances to have either sealed glass doors or a flue sentinel.
