Maybe a dumb question.....but gotta ask. Does a bag of pellets have an expiration date on them? Or how long is the shelf life?

Thank You everyone

Only enemy to pellets I know of is direct contact to moisture. No age limit and I have personally burn pellets over 4 seasons old without a hitch.

Don't let the bags get physically wet and you should be fin.

Last fall we finally used up the lst few bags of Heartlands that we bought back in the winter of 1994

We just kept piling the newer stuff on top of them.

As mentioned, MOISTURE is the only bad thing.

If you think about it, we build houses out of wood and they can last centuries.

If the bags are kept dry and not beat around (can break the pellets up a lot of handled a lot)
these things could last nearly forever.
