Dollar bill test

Moderate temps today so i let the insert go cold.
Checked the chimney, and cleaned out the ashes.
Also did the dollar bill test, and ended taking one
washer off my handle to tighten the seal up on the door
gasket.
Was wondering what some of the syptoms of a
loose door gasket might be.
