Door temp 350 degrees, how hot is the flue (insert)

As the title says. If the exterior of the door is 350 degrees (on an old buck stove). What is a reasonable assumption as to the flue temp?
Magnetic surface mount Rutland thermometer.
 
It's going to be practically impossible to tell. You might be able to pull the thermometer off the door and stick it on the flue for a few minutes to get a somewhat accurate reading.
