Double Wall Pipe Through the Roof

Putting the double wall stove pipe through the roof.
In between the rafters.
Do I need that box like contraption or offset bands that hold the pipe away from the wood?

Stovepipe, whether double or single-walled, can not pass thru a wall or ceiling. It must be class A chimney pipe after that. You'll need a ceiling support box that supports the chimney pipe.
