Somebody noted to me on this forum that the combustion chamber needs to be cleaned on the dutchwest 2478. I read over the service manual and the operation manual but I don't see any reference to this cleaning, can you please advise on how to do this.

The manual inconveniently avoids this area. Here are some past thread on this series of stoves. Tradergordo bought new and followed up with the degradation of the refractory assembly. You can remove the shoe, but not much else. This may have been the thread you read already.
