I checked in at my local TSC this week. The preseason sale is on through the end of the month. In my area the price is about $255/ton. I'll load up if they have a decent brand.

My local TSC still doesn’t have their stock. Wondering if they ever will. Gonna have to ask them what’s going on. Last couple years I’ve gotten them in early June.

I stopped in today at my local TSC store. So far they have no pellets, can't tell me what brand of pellets they're going to get. I put down a layaway deposit on a few tons anyway, with the assurance that I can get a full refund if the brand is substandard. I've never had a problem with refunds from them, it's one reason I like the store. Price: $253/ton.

It turns out TSC is selling hardwood (Green Supreme Appalachian) and softwood (Peak) pellets for the same price. Peak doesn't have much of a track record on this forum, but I picked up a couple tons. They look and smell good -- the piney aroma fills the basement. We'll see how they burn.

People seem to like the Appalachian blend hardwoods. I fear these have been sitting around in the open because eight bags in my skid had water damage. TSC is happy to replace them, but it's tedious hauling them back all the time.
