I came across an Efco chainsaw on CL. Never heard of them. Where do they rank in quality/performance? Not in the market or anything, just wondering.

That's a box store saw, sold at Menard's. Nothing special, I'm sure, but I have no experience with them and don't know anybody who has one.

They used to be Olympyk brand. They painted some of them john deere green. Some of them are decent.

They painted some of them john deere green.

They were decent saws that fell victim to Deere's half-hearted last-ditch run at handheld power equipment.

We have an Efco dealer here in town, he's also a Husqvarna and Dolmar dealer so I'm sure he doesn't sell many of the Efcos.

EFCO is Italian and makes nice saws. Some are pro-level, others mid-level, and the one you linked to is a homeowner-type saw. You get what you expect at each level, nothing more but nothing less. The asking price for the CL saw is out of line by at least $75.
