emission test results for the Hearthstone Deva

I want to purchase a Hearthstone Deva. My finance company needs to know the rating numbers of the stove. without these numbers they won't provide funds. I know this stove is considered EPA exempt because it is considered a cook stove. But someone somewhere has to have some numbers on it. Otherwise they wouldn't know whether to continue with the design or not. I really want this stove! Can someone please help me?

Since Hearthstone designated it exempt, which they themselves have to do, there won't be emissions numbers available because they didn't have to spend the twenty grand for certification testing.

Are you trying to roll the stove cost into your mortgage? Might be time to limit the loan to just the flue system and then buy the stove some other way, later.

I think I saw it once somewhere but I'll have to see if I can find it again. But the efficiency rating according to the European certificate is 73.9*% (barely under the 75% minimum that was required when they had the tax rebate on stoves had cookstoves been eligible)

Your finance company can review the NSPS draft proposal released in January of this year. In the document states that the total number of wood cook stoves sold annually does not merit their being regulated in the current NSPS promulgation.

BroBart is correct. We do not spend $25k to emissions test a stove that does not require such testing. Conversely, there should be a UL or comparable safety test for the unit.
