I have been trying to investigate NYSERDA Energy programs that list Pellet Stoves and EPA Phase 2 wood stoves as applicable measures. I was told that the NYS Dept of Conservation nixed the program because these fuels were too dirty to burn. I called Mike Jennings at the department of Conservation and he told me the reason was because the trucks and chainsaws used to get the logs out of the forest used oil and that caused too much polution.
Any updates as far as these programs are concerned? I know our President signed it a couple of years ago but I have had trouble finding more recent updates
