First row of studs down and .5" of wonderboard on it, and now second layer of framing and two coarses of wonderboard to come. also a pic of the OAK pipe.

So, what room is that. It kind of looks like it used to be the dining area.
 
Yeah it was for a while but I have been lurking around for here for a while an I found the general consensus to try to locate in as central in the home as possible. I think where the dining room is now works alot better, its right near the kitchen. I'm gonna get rid of the light in the pic and put a nice ceiling fan up.
 
I am saving this space for me so I can be the first to congratulate you when you fill in your saved space for the finished photo. :)
But for now so far so good, awesome work, keep it up and ... your deadline to complete this project is by Sunday noon with a break-in fire. Cheers... and again nice handy work. Now get back to it!!!
 
Well its in and burning or should I say stinkin , man does that first fire smell.
