Englander disassembly to save weight

I might be picking up a used Summer's Heat 55-SHP10L tonight by myself. It's only 290 lbs so it's not too heavy. Just looking for a few ways to cut weight. I'm assuming the door should lift off and take out fire bricks. Is there anything else I can strip off of it?

I got mine out of the back of my pickup solo... but it nearly killed my back. Bribe a neighbor with a few beers to help.

If you are going up or down steps get an appliance dolly from U Haul for $10 will make moving easier.

take the door off baffle plate and wear plate out. not much else you can remove without having to regasket before reinstalling would reduce the weight by about 35 lbs

Thanks everyone. I just found out it is in the sellers garage so I won't have any issues loading it.

I remember when I picked up my accentra insert I was able to disassemble a lot of it to reduce the weight.

I recently move my Englander PAH to my basement and I only had my wife to help going down the stairs. I was seriously concerned as it weighs over twice what I do and I have a bad back! So I removed the door, ash pan, hopper lid, rear panel, burn pot, auger motor and auger, combustion blower and convection blower to cut everything I could. It made a big difference and I only had to replace the combustion gasket which I had on hand anyway. No one got hurt, including me for a change

A few days before I had moved an EP completely by myself onto my trailer, off my trailer and into position inside the house. The seller had completely filled the hopper so as a nice bonus I had an extra 45lbs to deal with! Fortunately there were only a few stairs involved, and the descent from the trailer. So I built a ramp and was able to manage with just my dolly and some straps to hold it on tightly.

That was easy! Now I just have to drill through my 12" block wall to install it.
