if you lower the low air on the botton 3 buttions
from 4 to 2 and the stove burns ok
will that setting put less hot air out the vent and more into room
the top ones are set at 1-9
stove is a 2010 englander 25- pdvc

Technically, yes. Best way to tell is by measuring the air temp coming out of the stove into the room.

Running the room air blower at max with a low fuel setting will give you just luke warm air, and the stove will be noisier. Typically, you should run the heat setting and fan setting almost the same....1-1, 1-2, or 5-5 or 5-6, etc. etc.

Be careful richening the air/fuel mixture too much with the bottom buttons....creosote could form. Flames should be lively, yellow-white in color.

was it ever confirmed that the bottom three buttons only worked on heat settings 1 and 2? Or do those buttons work on all settings.

It depends on the stove year and control board revision. On a lot of the newer ones, the lower button settings DO effect heat settings above 2. My 10-cpm is an example....it's an '08 stove, but has a newer board and allows adjustments above heat 2.

Best bet for anyone wondering about their stove is to give mike H. a call with serial number and control board version #.
